Professor Dr. Amin Ajeel Al-Yasiri, President of the Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ, along with the university team specialized in rankings, participated in the annual meeting of the General Union of Arab Universities concerning the Arab University Ranking for 2025, held on May 19 via video conferencing.
The meeting witnessed the launch of the new platform for the Arab University Ranking, which is based on four main evaluation axes, each divided into nine sub-indicators. These axes are: Education and Learning (30%), Scientific Research (40%), Creativity, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation (15%), and International and Local Cooperation and Community Service (15%).
During the meeting, the timeline for the 2025 ranking was also discussed, which includes: the announcement of the ranking platform on May 19, a workshop on ranking data and the start of data submission on May 26, the deadline for data submission on August 28, and the announcement of the ranking results on December 20 of the same year.
The meeting concluded with several important recommendations, including benefiting from the previous year’s data to analyze the university’s strengths and weaknesses, updating the university’s website in both Arabic and English, and communicating with the ranking authorities about the university’s latest news and achievements. The meeting also recommended updating the university’s basic information (mission, vision, objectives, and general information) within the university’s profile in the ranking system, in addition to organizing an internal workshop to clarify and explain the data required for the ranking to all relevant colleges and departments.
